Mimicing a Mobile Device in Safari

Don’t have a mobile device but want to test? No problem if you have the Safari web browser.

We have developed a mobile-only navigation for the Hall of Frames in Arizona, which saved a heap of time and means we don’t need to buy a SmartPhone. Yet.

Here is how you do it. First, download Safari then go to the website you need to test on.

Click on Edit -> Preference, then go to Advanced tab. Check the check box for Show Develop menu in menu bar option.

Safari “User Agent” menu

From the main menu, select Develop, User Agent then choose your device. Here is the same Hall of Frames home page as it would display in an iPhone with our mobile navigation!
